"Alright, thats good." He sighed and flicked his tail around to swipe away unwelcome flies. he suddenly stood up, restless, and sat back down again.
"It's just so weird!" He exclaimed. "Usually I would try to tear someone to peices if they laughed like you just did. Not that it's a bad thing, or anything, what you did." He flashed a quick glance to Estelle. "I just don't know why it's like that! I want to know why!" He stamped his foot on the ground, hard.
Ira sighed. "It's not your fault or anything, I just want to know. This has only happened one other time, and it was when...never mind."

Estelle watched as the stag rose and sat down again, clearly uncomfortable. She watched as he started to freak out about why he was so calm around her, but Estelle said nothing. She did not even flinch a little as he stomped his hoof on the ground. She allowed him to have a little time to get freaked out about it.
Her ear flicked with interest as he cut himself off mid-sentence. She was tempted to ask what had happened, but knew better than to probe another's mind for answers that they did not want to share. The mind was a personal place, and it always should be. She sighed, letting him recover from his outburst. Once he seemed better, she spoke. "Would you rather change the subject to something else?" She asked, cocking her head to the left slightly.

"Oh, it doesn't really matter," he said, pacing around. "I'm just so confused. The only other time was...was when I was in the forest. Alone one night." He was going to tell her. "I saw this weird, weird tree. It was pure white, and had bright red leaves. it was sort of glowing."
"I felt so suddenly calm, and I must have stared at that tree forever. It just felt like I should have been there, like it was meant to be. But what does it mean!"
He stamped his foot in frustration again. he had been trying to find out what it meant for a while.
"Well, Estelle, how about you talk about yourself some more," he said. "I've shared about everything I know about myself. if you know more, feel free to tell me. Why don't you talk about something for a little?" He sat down and settled under a nice shady spot.

Estelle, looked down to the grass, thinking. She didn't really know anything about herself that she would want to share with him. Not that it was him specifially, she just kept her mind a very private place. The stuff she wouldn't tell him were the same stuff she wouldn't tell Orsina or anyone else. She was just like that, liking to have her own invisible space to think and feel freely.
After a few moments of her thinking, she couldn't really think of much to say. "Well, I don't really have much else to tell about myself. I could tell you about Orsina if you like, since you don't know much about her?" Estelle asked, trying to find something to talk about and not begin an awkward silence between the two.

"Yeah, sure, that would work." Orsina was strange, how she didn't kill deer, and Ira wanted to know why, how, and all that other stuff. "Hopefully Cor will accept her as no threat sometime soon."
As he waited for her response, he looked up at the sky. It was drawing towards the end of the day. "I wonder how this herd wil work out," he sighed, "With a leader who makes fun of everyone, a wolf, and the two, stupid quiet ones. Our personalities don't exactly match that well."
He lay down under some shade of a tree. "So, tell me about Orsina."

Estelle shrugged at his first comment, about them not fitting in. "Opposites keep each other balanced. It could be a good thing that we are all so different from each other." She stated.
"Alright, so, about Orsina. First of all, don't ever call her Orsi or Orsin. She finds Orsi makes her sound like an airhead and Orsin makes her sound like a guy." Estelle laughed a little, remembering Orsina's first reaction toward her when she called her that. "You can call her Or, or Sina. She has anger problems as well, but does not take it out on deer... ever. She usually takes it out on what she hunts, like rabbits for example. She has very good control over her anger surprisingly. Umm... She is very strong, and she is fierce when she fights. She always speaks her mind as well, she is very confident." Estelle secretly envied that characteristic about Orsina.
"As for her history, she hasn't really told me much about. She has lived as a loner all her adult life until now. Her history is one of the only things she is quiet about. I think she once started telling me about her brother, but then cut herself off before she could continue. When she said the word brother though, she looked very sickened and disgusted. Angry too. Anyways, she told me that she never had any hostility towards deer even as a pup, and she ate and hunted other animals instead. She said that she found our kind too intellegent and special to eat. We have a voice, unlike most animals do, and she find this interesting." Estelle had said all this as casually as if she had been talking about the weather. To her this was all pretty normal, but to Ira it was probably one of the weirdest things he ahd ever heard.

Ira could see how Orsina did that. She was probably mistreated, like him, and so Cor being not so nice to her probably made it a little worse. She must have been through a very lot.
"I feel bad for her," Ira sighed. "I've been through a lot, but Orsina must have been through a lot. She's a major difference then most wolves."
He changed the subject, even though he thought it might not be the best idea. "I don't think Cor will let her join the herd, because she's a wolf, technically, but she really will be in the herd, just not actually in the herd. I hope she stays, though." He turned to Estelle. "If she leaves, are you going too?"

Estelle thought about what he said very carefully. She had been pondering this as soon as she sensed the hostility towards Orsina from Cor. Orsina would prove herself to Cor, and so would Estelle. They had to.
Estelle looked back up at Ira after a few moments of silent thought. "I would have to. She is my other half, my best friend. Without her I would never be whole again. She has the qualities that I don't, and I have qualities she doesn't. We need each other to balance us out." Estelle said, sounding surprisingly strong and passionate about what she said. She didn't notice that her eyes were now fierce, but not in a threatening or angry way. It was more of a fierce determination. Like she had just made a promise she would never break.

"I see." Ira was suprised at how long it too her to answer. If he had a friend like that, he would have said a straight-forward YES right away. Than again, he never did have a friend like that. Nor a friend of any kind.
"Well, I think Cor is talking to her now," Ira reassured Estelle. "I think he will let her in, but maybe not for too long. Just make sure you stay on his good side, because so far, Cor doesn't seem to be the nicest of all. Not that I think someone else is, anyway." He turned the conversation towards the strange, quieter stag.
"That wuss of a stag, what was his name, ah, yes, Soreneich, is really lame. I could see why Cor wanted him out of the herd. he can't do anything. Than again, he might be good to have around, because he's easy to order around. I don't know." Ira shook his head sadly. "I just wouldn't be like that. Cor may be intimidating, but not tht much."

The fierceness stayed in her eyes for a little while longer as Ira spoke about Orsina. "She will prove herself to him. She always does." Estelle said a little quietly.
Estelle fierceness faded once Ira began to speak of Sora, and her gaze softened a little. She knew wat it was like to run from everything and be afraid like Sora. "Sometimes things that happened earlier in life take it's toll on you in the future. Maybe something happened to Sora to make him like that?" Estelle said, shrugging at the end.
