When Posing:
1. We're looking for players who have some experience writing. So if you're new to writing, I wouldn't suggest joining.
2. Posts are written third person, past tense.
3. Responses are generally 2-3 paragraphs, sometimes one if there's not much to post.
4. If posting more than one character at once, assign the characters a font color. If needed, in the top of your post put a legend which tells what color is for which character.
5. Capitalization and punctuation are a must.
6. We expect semi-decent spelling
7. Don't make us take out a dictionary for every word, but don't turn out first-grade vocabulary.
General Forum Rules
1. No god moding or power playing.
2. The sites content is rated Pg-Mature. If your post contains a lot of mature content, however, please be sure to post a warning at the top of your post to alert the younger readers. Please be sure your post does is not too sexually graphic, otherwise it will be deleted to conform with the Proboard's Sever Standards.
3. Don't flame one another. Agree to disagree.
. Fights will be judged by Staff. If we feel a player is being unfair in a fight, we'll decide the outcome based on the characters.
4. You're character can, and might, die, get over it. We understand you may have a certain character you're very attached to, and we won't say anything if you don't want them to die. But you have to let some characters get injured or die, it's natural and it's going to happen. Of course, we won't let members going around with massive monsters on a killing spree.
5. No humans. At all. Period.
6. Don't take a characters actions personally. It's the character, not the player, who's talking.
7. All rules are up for negotiations, and we're open to suggestions as well as exceptions to rules. Send a Personal Message(PM) to a Forum Captain.
8. Rules may be altered or added as time progresses.
9. When making a new character, you may only use the exact form. This means that the subject (EX: name, age, history) must be bolded, that you do not skip a line between entries, and that you do not mess with the colors. If this is done, I will ask that you redo it, because it only makes more work for Songdog or makes the information look confusing.
10. You are limited to three characters, more characters can be purchased in the Point Shop.
One month in real life is the equivalent of one season in the roleplay. Deer and wolves may breed any time during the year, twice a year with one season in between. Deer are pregnant for three weeks real time, wolves are pregnant for two weeks real time.
Character Rules and Restrictions: Cervidae
1. Deer characters may be of any color, and have any eye color. Antlers can be of any shape, color or designs
2. Females can have antlers, but they have smaller antlers than males
3. Each deer is allowed to know only one spell, and the spells must be minor. Examples of acceptable spells are: Causing flowers to grow/die, healing minor cuts, changing colors, minor shapeshifting, etc.
4. Deer may be of any size and design. The only thing we are likely to prohibit are wings.
5. Please choose a species of deer to base your deer on; this does not signify that it has to be that species, but only that it resembles that species.
6. You must have a balance of strengths and weaknesses. If your deer is not balanced, you application will be denied.
7. Deer give birth to one fawn, and on rare occasions they can have twins.
Character Rules and Restrictions: Canidae
1. Wolves will be limited access; you must either obtain special permission from an admin, or earn enough points.
2. Wolves do not have magic, funny colors, etc.
3. All wolves must consist mainly of a grey variation. This is because that wolves are so closely inbred, that all genetic chances of one being solid black or white has been bred out.
4. Wolves have an average life span of 4-6 years because of their genetic problems. Cancer and organ failure are very prominent causes of death.
5. Wolves may have any eye color they choose.
6. The standard wolf is four feet at the shoulders, six feet long, and weighs 150-200 lb. They have larger heads than normal, boar-like manes, and larger forearms than the average wolf. Besides that, their general anatomy is fairly similar.
7. A single wolf is capable of bringing down a deer, with difficulty.
8. Wolves have only 1-3 pups per litter.
