Hierarchy: Explained
Fuhrer- The leader of the pack, the one who makes the primary decisions; where to den, when to hunt, and who is considered 'family' (and so on). While usually male, they can also be female. Their mate is promoted to the rank of an Altere.
Altere- A small number of wolves that are close to the Fuhrer, usually no more than 3 or 4 individuals ( most often only one or two). They are enforcers, and keep the others in line when tensions cause slip-ups.
Krieger- General members of the pack. They are of both genders, and have an individual hierarchy amongst themselves.
Fiege- Considered the 'cowards' of the pack (primarily for the submissive posture they constantly hold). They are peace keepers, enduring the rage from other members when a scapegoat is needed, or acting as a councilor for a troubled wolf. Often there is only one Fiege (occasionally one of each gender). If two fall under this rank, they may fight for dominance, and the winner will raise to a low ranking Krieger.
Fuhrer's Law
1. If one is to hunt alone, spoils of the carcass must be presented to the Fuhrer or Altere.
2. We are all brothers and sisters, and therefore shall not harm (or kill) one another, unless by a justifiable cause. Sparring is encouraged, and conflicts for dominance are natural and shall occur.
3. Respect the Fuhrer, their voice is the final law.
Rules may be changed or altered in the future.
