The fallen twigs snapped loudly as they were severed, and each not-so-dainty footfall brought on the sound again. But he didn't seem concerned with the noise, or attention he was attracting. He nosed about beneath the old apple tree, sniffing out the tart over-ripened apples that had fermented in the shade.
Although difficult to swallow, the sweetness of the fruit overcame its bitterness, and if nothing else filled the hole in his stomach. The mid-day was entirely too serene, and the laziness of the air made him itch. There was simply not enough discord...

Sorenich stood on a small hill, overlooking the area with his one eye, and attempting to make good use of his nose to scent the area. Ears flickering and waving back and forth, he sensed no danger and decided to move on farther down. As he walked, his dark grey coat reflected the sun's powerful rays, giving his coat a glossy sheen, which was odd, being that his fur was normally left unkempt and matted with mud from traveling.
He came to a sudden halt; he had turned his head to the left enough to look out his right eye for any danger from that side, when he saw a single flicker of movement beneath a tree. He pivoted in the same spot and stood there unwavering, daring not to move and hoping that the stag he was staring at had not seen him quite yet. This wasn't exactly the way he would rather go around introducing himself to a stranger of massive proportions compared to himself.

Nothing mattered anymore. He might as well have died right now, rather then live through the pain of keeping a secret for eternity. He walked on, the leaves crunching undefoot as he trudged through the blazing hot day, alone.
He approached the tree wearily, glaring each and every eye as he passed from light to dark, from sun to shade, fire to water, yang to yin. He didn't notice the other two deer, sillhouetted against the sun, in his own depression and dishonor. He stopped, and stared at the leaves. Nothing mattered...

(I'm a bit confused; in Sora's profile it says he's already apart of the herd)
The shifting winds betrays all, and to Cor it played as an advantage. He kept his head low, although his teeth ceased to grind the core of apple half lodged between his flat teeth. It fell from his jaws, and the ends of his black lips curled into a quaint grin. He stepped forward, browsing through the grasses, not wanting to alert the others to his awareness.
When he could stand this guise no longer, he stamped his front hoof loudly against the earth, snapping his head up suddenly and looking about the two stags. He was still all smiles, eyes wide with the tiny pupils sitting in place. A giggle-like noise escaped his vocals, moving close to either and hoping they would not leap off.
"Hey hey there-" He pronounced with a smirk. "What are two fine chaps doing about here?" Although veiled behind a thin cover of cheer, Cor was in truth gauging the two fellows. If he could persuade them, then it would be two less antlers to compete with, and two more stags to fight for him.

(Well, I guess I will start from the beginning. I'm just confusin' ya all over the place, aren't I xD? I am sorry >.<)
Startled that he had seen him, Sora stumbled backward a bit, feeling his cowardice from within seaeping through his entire body. "I....uh, I-" He fumbled over the words, even through his desperate attempt to stay calm. "If-if this is your land sir, I would like uhhh like to join your herd." His sheepishness, he knew, was as clear as the sun that ripped through the few clouds in the sky now.
He tried to hold himself high, but didn't want to make it seem as though he were trying to put up a challenge. So he stared. With his one eye at the larger deer, hoping with everything he had that this wasn't another one of those religion-driven herd leaders. He barely moved as he awaited his reply.

This sniveling shaking mass before him was hardly an addition to his ranks. While bearing the colors of a true warrior, the stranger was meek and feeble. Cor laughed as the stag stumbled over his own words, stamping his leg again as he often did in jest. He trotted about the fellow, still smirking and his bright, wide eyes never leaving the lad for a second.
"Is that right so? Well look at you-" He poked him lightly in the flank with the tip of his antler, wanting to see if he would cower or balk at this gesture. Although Cor was focused on the grey male before him, he kept an ear tending to the other male that stood afar, perhaps hoping that he had not been noticed.
"Any, faults I show know about? Bleeding from the eyes, vomiting up organs, sore on the ass? It's all rather important, you see." He laughed again, raising his eyes to the second stranger. Would that one have the guts to confront the situation, he wondered.
(sorry for the minor GM; generally if it's something small it's allowed unless the other player objects)

(no, it's fine =))
Sora flinched slightly and back up a few inches to give himself some more room. "N-no, sir. Only my left blind eye" He turned his head to show him before turning back. "But I uhhhhh have learned to get around it" he said stupidly, now eying the stag in front of himself. He could now see how much taller he was. Not to mention stronger. Sorenich was only relieved that the stag meant no harm to him.
Gathering up courage from which he knew not where it came from, Sora lifted his head. "If it isn't rude of myself, sir, my name is Sorenich, though most just call me Sora. I would be greatly honoured to serve under you if you so wish or please it, sir." Sora bowed his head in respect, before lifting his head again.
(Silly Sora says sir a lot when speaking to higher ups, or even just larger deer that he doesn't really know |D)

(Whoops, I missed alot)
Ira stood in front of the massive stag in front of him, giving him a peircing glare, in which the stag only returned. This would be his chance to redeem his life and try to live normally.
"My name is Ira," He said cooly, "And I would like to serve under you in attempt to start a new life."

"Please tell me why we are doing this again?" Orsina growled, a deep rumble coming from her chest. Estelle merely smirked at Orsina's hostility though, knowing that deep down she wanted more companions than just herself. "Because, as much of an amazing protector as you are, we need more than just us two to keep safe from enemies. I think being in a herd would be good for us, and you know full I can't join a wolf pack." Estelle replied calmly, a bit of sarcasm at the beginning of her sentence. Orsina just rumbled again, annoyed but knew it had to be done. Estelle smiled in Orsina's submission, and looked back in front of her. "They are going to look at me like I'm some sort of monster you know." Orsina grumbled miserably. "Nah, just a freak who prefers deer for friends rather than wolves!" Elle teased. Orsina glared at her in response with her violet blue eyes, then turned her glare back to the path ahead of them.
Orsina heard voices coming form the right of them, and immediately tensed up. A quick wolf snarl escaped her lips, but she quickly shut herself up once she realized it could be the leader and she might put herself and Estelle in danger for acting too much like a wolf. She saw Estelle sink back into her dainty and shy shell, her ears going back against her head in slight fear. Orsina knew it was now her turn to take up the head position in their little hunt. She sighed and walked in front of Estelle toward the voices, Ella following her without any fight.
Orsina appeared in the clearing, seeing the leader and two others in his presence. She expected to see immediate fear once they saw her, and quickly hit Ella's leg with her tail tell her it was safe to come out. Ella slowly appeared from the bushes, standing slightly behind Orsina. Orsina expected to see confused faces and possibly hostile faces toward the two of them, as it was quite an unusual sight to see a predator traveling as one with their "food". Orsina held her head with pride though, prepared to not let the faces affect her better judgment not to claw their faces in. "I am Orsina, and this is my friend, Estelle-" She flicked her tail to Estelle's direction. "We have come in search of your herd to possibly join." Orsina explained, trying to sound as respectful as possible without looking and sounding like she would take any insult about her being a wolf lightly. Estelle nodded in greeting, standing up a little straighter now that Orsina had taken care of the first part.

(late to the party as usual)
He was only a scrapper of a stag, no real use to him. But it was one less bit of competition, and one once more of power that was tilted in his advantage. If nothing else, he was a weakling that could be disposed of to their advantage. All Cor needed to do was play his cards right, and watch which toes he stepped on.
"Ah, you are a smart fellow then, Sora-" He could not even finish his thoughts before the 'bold' and falsely stoic buck that he had kept a cocked ear on stepped forth from the shadows. It appeared he had decided to man up, instead of cowering like a fawn. With his ever present smirk, he turned Ira, brows lowered. "How very rude to interrupt. Can you not see I am busy with this, subordinate before me?" A laugh escaped him.
"No matter then. God's Hand consumes all. I am Corvidaex, Captain of this herd and lord of all you see. My word is law and my law is final." His ears shot up, his legs tense and anatomy stiff in its place. When the beast emerged, he stamped angrily, jumping back onto his rear legs in a startle.
He didn't even notice the strange doe aside the wolfish creature, let alone catch her scent. Cor's fur turned to feathers, and in an instant he was off the ground, but only a fraction of his size. Under panic of the wolf's appearance, he shifted into the form of a crow and flew to the apple branches overhead, causing a fuss.

Orsina flinched harshly as the stag morphed into a crow, not expecting that at all. He was afraid of her, just like she knew he would be. He saw her as a killer, nothing more than something to hide from and avoid. She held back her irritation and turned her head to Ella behind her instead. "You see? I told you, I'm the boogieman to them!" She snapped at Estelle, a slight growl to her voice. "Let's just go!" She growled, beginning to walk back into the bushes where they had came from.
Estelle stopped her in her tracks though, giving her a harsh stare back. "Don't. Move." Estelle said very sternly. Orsina shook with fury at Estelle, but knew better than to attack a friend. She closed her eyes and heaved out an enraged and frustrated sigh. Estelle then stepped in front, walking over to the tree the lead stag had flew up. She expected Orsina to follow her, but saw her just glaring at her in the same spot she had been in before. Estelle gulped, knowing she had to do this alone for the sake of both of them. "She won't hurt you, we have been friends for a long time and her diet consists of smaller animals, not deer. I won't hurt you either... not that I really could anyways." Estelle said very quietly, a weak smile appearing on her face at the end. Orsina couldn't help but let a small chuckle escape her lips at Estelle attempting to make a joke in an intense situation, not only that but take charge too. To anyone else, it would not have been as amusing. But to her it was absolutely hilarious.

Ira a bit back a rude remark and the urge to lash out at Cor. "I'm sorry if I interrupted you. Thank you for you for being kind and accepting me." He dipped his head in thanks.
He turned to look at Cor's reply, and found him perched in a tree. In cofusion, he spun around, and almost ran into a large, wolf like creature. He yelped in suprise and almost attacked, but realized that they meant no harm.

He remained perched high above the wolf-beast, fixed to the branch and unwilling to move. They spoke awkwardly, as if forced speech, and the diction was atrocious. It made his ears wish to bleed, and he cawed in a contemptible laugh. Perhaps they weren't aware of just how stupid they sounded in their choice of words.
Casual, straight-forward, and as if all could be solved by magic words. Cor noted how easily the rash and angst-saddled Ira adjusted to what the doe told him; his ability to trust a total stranger was off-setting. It proved him a gullible sort, and one entirely unfit to be trusted with any responsibility.
It annoyed Cor by how incompetent and useless these stags were. He waited for some time up in that tree, waiting and watching until he felt safe enough to land and return to cervine state. He still allowed for there to be some distance between him and the wolf creature, his instincts had never been wrong before. He was not stupid, he had watched wolves take several of his herd before. It would be foolish to trust one without reason.
"This is a mockery." He laughed nervously, his left eye twitching slightly. "We, implying both. A herd, implying deer. Therein lies the fallacy; what is that and why would I ever consider it being apart of my herd? Your magic little words can't contradict what nature has already declared. Why else have wolves been allowed to live but to kill deer? That is the natural law."

As Rena slowly walked through the forest, not a single leaf crackled under her weight. Staring at the ground, she moved on, not even attempting to walk more quickly, until the scent of more deer hit her nose. She started to pick up the pace, trotting through small puddles, away from the scent. What she couldn't use now was a fight.
However, she really liked the area were she was and wasn't thinking of giving it up either. If it was a herd, she decided, she would join.

Estelle turned around to see Orsina's jaw clenched and her muzzle twitching slightly. She was trying really hard not to snarl or give him back talk, Estelle could tell. Estelle then had an idea. She turned her head back towards the stag. She made herself look a little more confident, though inside her mind was screaming for her to run. "Friendship is a natural thing as well though, er... stag." Estelle said, not really knowing what to call him seeing as how she knew not his name, nor could really call him leader if she was not led by him at the time. She then decided to put her little plan into action. "And think of it this way... stag. Think of the protection you would have from other wolves if you had one of their own kind in your herd? Protection not only from wolves, but also other stags that not dare cross Orsina's path. Any threat, she would be right in there trying her hardest to chase it off. None of your deer get hurt, you don't get hurt, mosty likely she wont get hurt. Hmm?" Estelle stated, raising an eyebrow. Her voice was surprisingly confident and a-matter-of-factly.
Orsina was actually quite surprised at how Estelle was handling this. Usually when Elle was put in charge, she was a stuttering mess. But was she actually managing to be a little... humorous, if that was the right word? No, it wasn't the right word. But Orsina could not think of any word that matched what Estelle was doing. So, she remined quiet, waiting for the lead stag's reaction.
